So this last weekend was a great Self Improvement Weekend. Alex came into town and we hit up Galveston. Such a great city, we have decided we need a house there, or we might just keep using my boss' house forever! We hung out by the pool, got a massage, went to the trendy H2O bar at the San Luis, chilled at the strand and then the beach ....last but not least checked out my hopefully future townhome. I have to say it was a great weekend!
More on Galveston and the Townhome to come.....on to September Resolutions.
This is going to be one busy month. I have 3 large conferences, 4 board meetings, 2 regular meetings, 1 extra happy hour, 1 extra seminar, 1 three day course, 2 pre-conference events and did I mention we are starting with a new group this month? So needless to say, I'm overwhelmed. Not just a little, but a whole freaking lot! Just reading that sentence makes want to go back to work now and just keep on working till October 1. Who needs sleep, right?
This September I plan to:
- Get to work early - I don't have time to not be there when the phone isn't ringing
- Workout 3 days a week - this will take some skill, but I will just have to get up and leave
- Work weekends and late nights - to get everything I need accomplished I would be kidding myself if I didn't think I would have to do that this month
- Delegate tasks - I have two people that can help me at work, I have to use them as much as possible to help share the workload...I've already gotten the green light, so here goes
- Get sleep - I'm going to need as much sleep as possible.
- Eat well - this one is a continuing theme in what I'm doing
- Blog as much as possible - I have so many topics to write about, I just need to keep writing!
- Be social - I have a few things on the calendar right now that would be fun, I need to have a little fun
Ok, so I think that is all I can take for right now. I can't wait till October! I usually love September, it is my birthday month, but now I'm not sure I'll be conscious on my birthday....oh well.
