Wow, I haven't blogged in so long. I've been thinking about it a lot lately. The wedding is done so that extra part of my life is over, now I'm focusing on being a great wife, excelling at work and working on me.
We went to Maui for our honeymoon and it was fabulous. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua and it was really a special vacation. If you have a chance check out Maui, it is worth it. It was nice to cross off another vacation spot on our list. We really had a blast!
I've been thinking of ways I can be more creative. I think I've found something, but I'm not sure it is something people would want. I made photo books for my guest book at the wedding and of our wedding photos. They have a mix of pictures and themes, but are great keepsakes that I can have around our house and don't have to worry about the photos falling out of the photo album or fading.
Would you pay for someone to put that together for you? It can take a while, but doing the layout was really one of my favorite projects I've done in a while!
Let me know what you think.

Registry and Selling Stuff
So today Alex and I are finishing up on some registry items as well as wedding band shopping and finalizing invitations and the save the dates. Our website is 90% done too!
This morning we spent two hours at crate and barrel's registry party adding things we didn't think about and other odds and ends. It has been pretty enjoyable. Now we just need to decide what all we want to get rid of or donate. This could be a hard decision as some of our stuff is rather new, but just isn't going to go with our new sets of stuff.
Has anyone sold stuff on Craig's list? I think we are just scared of the horror stories. Let me know if you have any tips for posting things and how to deal with shoppers.
Back to shopping....Macy's here we come!

You Don't Get What You Don't Ask For
So today I was reviewing my Mint.com and my TV bill has gone from $67 per month to $100 per month...umm not cool! I recently read that you should try to negotiate things such as cable, energy and other items for lower prices. So I called up my cable company and asked if I was eligible for any rebates. So I sat on hold for a while and then she came back and offered me a whopping $10 off my bill for the next six months. I didn't love the offer, but I'll take it. So then asked how much it would be to cancel the service and then asked again if there was anything else I could do to get it lowered cause it is dang expensive....after a being on hold again I got another $10 off. So I'm not crazy that I'm paying $80 in cable per month now, but I will wait a month and then call back again to see if I can get something lowered again. $80 is better than $100 - those pesky cable companies!
I think I'm going to call my health insurance next....then the energy company!

Umm Yeah
So I get a new blog design and then fall off the face of the earth.....all due to work and my new second job - planning my wedding. So wedding planning and work are both going well. I enjoy them, but haven't had too much down time to just enjoy the experience of wedding planning. Our coordinator has been great so far. She set up and reviewed all of our vendors so we just have to show up, listen to them and then decide who we like best..... I suggest this approach, there are a billion wedding vendors out there! Seriously at least a billion.
I'm glad we don't have any appointments this weekend, it has been nice to relax so far after an appointment every night this week. Ekk....
Off to the beach. Hope to blog again soon!
